Caphe Ha is Mayan for ‘two waters' and refers to the facility's location on the peninsula with the ocean on the east side and the inland lakes and lagoons on the west side. In Mexico, properties are often called 'Ranchos' and vary from small family homes to larger facilities. Rancho Caphe Ha is a wonderful combination of rustic, old beach style living with a few comforts added in. There is no power or telephone in this northern area of the Sian Ka'an Reserve; lighting, hot water, stoves and refrigerator are run on solar power or gas. It is a delicate eco-environment; trip guests are asked to conserve water and power. We're about an hour's drive down a dirt road south of Tulum. As you slowly pull into the driveway, the sense of enchantment is immediate. This is our home base for a great week of paddling, beaching, creating and relaxing.

	MAIN LODGE: This large palm thatched ‘palapa' houses the kitchen and common gathering room. Meals are enjoyed here, but the primary dining area is outside on the front porch facing the ocean.

The rooms are located in two separate buildings with views of the ocean. All rooms are double occupancy with two rooms to each building. Each room accommodates couples or individuals. Guests in each building share a bathroom.
