The Apostle Islands on Lake Superior are heralded as a world-class location for sea kayaking, and with good reason. A unique mix of wilderness, ancient geology and a rich natural and cultural history, lends itself to an exceptional paddling experience whether it is a day or overnight trip. And whether you are new to kayaking or have many miles under your paddle.
We know these Islands well at Living Adventure; we have loved and admired them for decades and these sentiments are infused in your experience through the knowledge, humor and good judgment of our professional guiding staff. We invite you to look through our trip offerings, then write or call for detailed information, trip registration or a copy of our color Summer Programs Guide:

We are still amazed almost every time we turn into our driveway at Living Adventure; roll past the boat barn, parking area, office and behold the grand view of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands that is before us. Our Center is truly a magical place; circles of huge white pines create a wilderness feel, areas we have cultivated are reminiscent of arboretum. The view from our launch to the northeast across an historic shipping channel is unobstructed and lets the mind wander afar to Canadian shores and beyond.
We take pride in offering the absolute best Lake Superior guides available (all ACA certified instructors), a fantastic food program prepared in our own licensed kitchen (baked brie on the trail is hard to beat), and a private facility where you feel welcomed and at home(our cedar lined changing rooms are sweet!) Supporting quality and safety at this level takes a great deal of professional and financial commitment and at times may cost our guests a few more dollars for our trips; but we know you will find it worth it. We invite you to roll on down the driveway this summer and you too will be swept away with the charm, adventure and warmth of an experience with Living Adventure and Lake Superior.
