We offer a variety of themes in our Artful Adventure series to meet the variety of expressive preferences found in all of us:

• Those drawn to the tactile side of life will enjoy the sensual feel of shaping clay on the Ceramics Trip.
• Visual people delight in a tropical dance of brilliant dyes and watercolors in the Painting & Batik Trip.
• Have a keen sense of taste? A sumptuous culinary extravaganza defines the Mexican & Mayan Cooking Trip.
• Graceful movement on land flows to sea; stretching and paddling connect body and spirit on our Yoga Trip.
• A kaleidoscope of perspectives comes to focus through your lens on our Digital Photography Trip.

No previous experience necessary! In the same way that kayaking is not 'just for athletes', artful expression is not 'just
for artists'. Creating belongs to all of us; it breathes life into routine and infuses inspiration into every part of our lives. Whether you are learning from the beginning or continuing your skills from your present level, you'll return home with not only beautiful mementos of your trip; recipes, art works, perhaps a new dance step, but also with a new grab bag of tools and techniques to live your Yucatan adventure at home.

AMERICAN ARTISTS TEAM WITH MEXICAN AND MAYAN ARTISTS
One of the best parts of the Artful Adventures is our fabulous resource staff of Mexican, Mayan and North Americans. Our multicultural approach to learning brings together themes, methods and stories from the two Americas; adventure and art transcend time and space in the atmosphere of the ancient Maya. Language translation is an integral part of the week and you will certainly go home with a few new Mayan words.

Our staff members, all accomplished artists in their own right, also share a passion for teaching. They are fun loving, dedicated professionals who thrive in the open-air 'living classroom' atmosphere of the tropics. They rock 'n roll with the tides and know how to be spontaneous with learning moments. Their confidence infuses the workshop sessions and promotes a positive, non-competitive ambiance for all. Deep friendships have been made over the years between them and trip participants enjoy being a part of this people-to-people diplomacy.
